Dedicated staff members, with a strong work ethic, form the strength of Citizens First National Bank. Being a community bank means more than having an office in a certain location; it means a commitment to public service and social responsibility.
Community organizations throughout the area are supported not only through charitable contributions, but also through staff participation as volunteers, fundraising events and community projects.
Citizens’ Plainfield staff has already been busy in 2010 hosting New Directions Card and Game parties and collecting for the March of Dimes. Spring plans include an April 2 Easter Egg Hunt to be held at the 14429 S. Wallin Dr. location beginning at 3:30 p.m. The event is open to children ages 3 to 8.
On June 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Plainfield Food Pantry will benefit from proceeds raised during the office’s Picnic and Shred Day fundraiser. The public is invited to bring a maximum of two boxes of personal/business information to be destroyed on-site by a professional shredding company. A picnic lunch will be provided and a goodwill donation accepted for the Food Pantry.
Other events planned include a “Christmas in July” project to collect items for military service personnel overseas. Citizens will provide a listed of needed items and then box and mail the “presents”. In September, staff members will raise funds for a local charity (yet to be determined) when they participate in the Harvest 5K Run.
It is evident that this commitment is personal, not just financial. Why do they do it? Because they believe by sharing their time, talent and corporate strength, they can make a difference in the communities where they live and work.
Citizens First National Bank provides a complete range of financial services from its Plainfield location and the additional 20 office locations throughout north central Illinois. Citizens is a full service community bank and a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
