The first WYSK luncheon meeting of 2009 was held at Tamarack Golf Club on January 28th. Approximately 55 women were in attendance- many for the first time enjoyed a wonderful luncheon and chance to meet other businesswomen in the Plainfield area.
Laura Romeiro of Child Shield, USA was the dessert sponsor who spoke on her business to educate and empower you and your child to recognize predators and not be victims. WYSK now offers a chance to market you business through being a dessert sponsor. By providing dessert and a $50 donation to the WYSK scholarship fund we welcome sponsors to give a 5 minute highlight of their business and provide business information for the group.
Our luncheon speaker was Diana Zilly, a hypnotherapist from Soma Total Wellness who shared how hypnotherapy can release negative thoughts in the mind and thus help to affect positive changes in our lives. Everyone enjoyed this information at the start of this New Year.
We had a great raffle with generous donations from the members. Those who donated were Awilda Campbell (2 gifts) of LaBori Catering and Cakes, Christine Christensen of Soma Total Wellness, Julie Crouse of Mary Kay, Debbie Goldman of Panera Bread North, Karen Kazmierski of Premier Designs, Inc, Connie Litwiller (2 gifts) from Tupperware, Sheila McGee of Arbonne, Jean Perle of Mark Peters Jewelry and Design, Tracy Rohlfs of Revolution Dance Studio, Jenine Sheridan of Innerpeace Natural Health and Diana Zilly of Soma Total Wellness.
The proceeds from all our raffles go towards our scholarship fund. Any WYSK member can apply for this scholarship through the PACC office for up to $250 for continuing education or business seminars.
Our next meeting will be the ever-popular Progressive Luncheon at Prairie Bluff Golf Course on March 25th from 11:30am -1:00 pm. Because we like to avoid duplication of like- businesses at each table it is important to get you reservations in early so we can do the table pairings in advance. The deadline for these reservations will be Friday March 20th. Hope to see you all there.
