What a peaceful home it will be! No more biting, barking, pulling, jumping, growling, chewing or worrying about accidents in the house! “There are no bad dogs, just confused dogs.”, said Kristy Dilworth.
 
Smart Dogs is family owned and operated by Ian and Kristy Dilworth. They recently relocated to North Plainfield for more space. They train all ages, breeds and temperaments for any issue including housebreaking, aggression and obedience. “We have seen and heard it all… and we still haven’t met a dog we couldn’t train.” said Ian Dilworth. 
 
Kristy and Ian have an excellent track record and years of experience boarding, training and working with dogs in different capacities. 
 
Located near downtown Plainfield, their beautiful, 5100sq. ft backyard has plenty of room to run the obstacle course that challenges the dogs both physically and mentally. 
 
Smart Dogs believes in using your dog’s natural instincts to accomplish the desired behavior. “That is what your dog is wired for so that is how we bridge the communication gap between owner and canine.”
 
“We strongly believe in private training sessions either in our home or yours to specifically address your canine’s issues.”   
 
Services Offered:
 

  1. Dog Training - They come to your home and provide one-on-one training with you and your dog in its natural environment.

 

  1. Boarding - They provide boarding for 2-3 dogs in their home. They are NOT a kennel so your dog will be loved and well exercised. Smart Dogs’ customers enjoy peace of mind knowing that their dogs are being cared for by two professional dog trainers in a home environment.

 

  1. Board-and-Train - They board-and-train your dog in their home. This is great if you don’t have time to train your dog, have kids (which makes consistent training difficult), or are going on vacation and want to return home to a well trained dog.
