Rose Santiago is a Senior Stakeholder Liaison (SSL) in the Small Business/Self Employed Division of the Internal Revenue Service. She assumed this position in June 2006. As a SSL, Rose interacts with practitioners and small business taxpayers. She is the liaison between IRS and practitioners as well as members of industry groups.
Rose began her IRS career over 36 years ago; in 1973. She’s occupied a variety of technical tax positions in Chicago, IL. She joined IRS management in 1981 and steadily progressed through the management ranks within IRS; successfully completed a series of management positions including managing a telephone assistance branch comprised of over 200 tax representatives and specialists. Rose also managed a variety of programs in the IRS’s Midwest Region office located in Chicago, IL. Her regional duties included conducting in-depth reviews and analysis of a variety of tax programs and processes at IRS Campuses (Service Centers), toll-free operations, Examination and Collection functions within IRS. Santiago’s duties have consistently been devoted to assisting taxpayers through answering tax inquiries, resolving tax problems and delivering taxpayer education.
A native of Chicago, Rose has successfully completed a variety of tax and accounting courses through Roosevelt University.
