We want to wish everyone a wonderful New Year! On December 3rd more than 60 members of WYSK celebrated the Holidays with a social gathering at J Todd’s on Route 30 in Plainfield. We enjoyed great appetizers and drinks and got a chance to meet many of the new members that recently joined the group.
The members quickly got to know each other when the WYSK BINGO game was played and four lucky women became the winners of cash prizes.

We had a great response for raffle prizes from the membership, but unfortunately never got a list of who brought the gifts. So we would like to thank everyone that helped out with last minute gift baskets-you know who you are. The proceeds from these raffles are used for our scholarship fund. Any member of WYSK can get an application from the chamber office for a scholarship that can be used for continuing education up to $250.

We had a great turnout at our last WYSK committee meeting- which meets the first Wednesday of the odd numbered months at 8:00 AM at the chamber office- next meeting will be January 7th. The newest board members were Cheryl Evanoff of Wingate by Wyndam, Dawn Kaleta of Elegance Underneath, Cyndee Lewis of Marsaglia Agency-Nationwide Insurance, Caroline Reed, Tammie Rippberger and Denise Stellar of First Midwest Bank and Leslie White of Certa Pro Painters of Plainfield. They joined the existing board members Peggie Elam of Tastefully Simple, Karen Kazmierski of the PACC, Sandy Ketcham of the Word Pro, Sherry Lohr of john greene realtor, Barbara Marty of Healthy Alternatives and Beth Randall of Joe Organizer in planning the upcoming meetings.

The January meeting will be Wednesday 28th from 11:30AM-1:00PM at Tamarack Golf Club on Route 59 at Royal Worlington Drive. Our guest speaker will be Diana Zilly – hypnotherapist with Soma Spa. Reservations can be made with Mary Gutowski at the chamber office.

Any woman who is a member of PACC is automatically a member of WYSK. WYSK meetings are held the last Wednesday of odd- numbered months. We will have the schedule for the year at the January meeting. Hope to see you all there.
