WYSK NEWS FOR SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER

The July meeting of WYSK (Women You Should Know) was held July 29th at Tamarack Golf Club. It was a wonderful day to get together and we had a record amount of new women in attendance.

The guest speaker was Tina Postel from the Rialto who spoke on the FISH Philosophy. This method of conducting business made a significant difference in the Pike Street Fish Market in Seattle. We learned to improve our businesses we should 1-Play, have fun;2-BeThere, pay attention to our customers;3-Make Their Day, do something to make them feel good about themselves and 4-Choose Your Attitude, remember our attitude is something that we can control.
Our lunch sponsor was Pat Powers from Alden of Waterford who donated eight festive baskets. Other raffle donations were provided by Liz Collins- PACC, Karen Kazmierski -–Premier Designs Jewelry, Maria Ochoa- Plainfield Draperies and Mary Ann Walforf- Gourmet Junction. We were able to raise $163.00 for the WYSK scholarship fund. And member of WYSK is eligible to apply for continuing education or work-related seminars up to $250.

WYSK meets the last Wednesday of odd numbered months at various locations. Our next meeting will be the 5th Annual Miniature Golf Outing at Wilderness Falls on September 30th from 2-5 PM. We will play miniature golf and have time to network, too. This continues to be one of our most popular meetings. Please register with Mary Gutowski at the chamber office.

Any woman who is a member of the Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce is automatically a member of WYSK. Come and join us September 30th.
